An original youth musical production navigating online relationships
Connecting through social media, Savannah and Chun navigate the complexities of friendship and romance in the digital age. But with friends and online personas influencing their choices, what does it mean to be truly authentic in a world driven by likes and filters?
Likes & Lies – this year’s flagship youth musical production – tackles issues around online integrity. Performed by young Hong Kong performers aged 9 to 25, written and directed by Lindsey McAlister, founder of Hong Kong Youth Arts Foundation, and with original music by multi-disciplinary artist Amuer Calderon, Likes & Lies takes the stage this November at The Box, Freespace.
The production is co-presented and co-produced by WestK Performing Arts and HKYAF.
